Prof. (Dr.) Snehamanju Basu
Director IQAC, Director of Centre of Excellence on Disaster Studies and Resilience
Dr. Snehamanju Basu has made significant contributions to academia and administration throughout her career. She began her academic journey at Lal Baba College, where she established the Department of Geography. In 1999, she joined Kalinagar Mahavidyalaya as an Assistant Professor. Since 2001, Dr. Basu has been associated with Lady Brabourne College. She was instrumental in launching the postgraduate department in geography in 2003, which she developed into an Advanced Research Centre in 2014. In 2018, Dr. Basu broke new ground by becoming the first female Registrar at Jadavpur University. Her scholarly contributions include authoring and editing books, publishing numerous research papers, and serving on several academic committees and governing bodies in West Bengal.
